Dr. Abdul Latif Ben Rashid Al Zayani, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, called for a peaceful solution to the issue of blocking Al-Nahda in order to guarantee the water rights of Egypt and the Sudan.

In his speech during the United Nations General Assembly, the Bahraini Minister for Foreign Affairs stated today, "We call for an urgent settlement of the issue of the Nahda dam and stress the importance of reaching a just and binding agreement to fill in and operate the dam that preserves the rights of Egypt and the Sudan."

In another context, Zayani called for respect for the cessation of interference in the internal affairs of Libya and the departure of foreign forces and mercenaries from its territory, and called for respect for the sovereignty, stability and territorial integrity of the Libyan State.

The Kingdom of Bahrain stood by the Afghan people and made their own choices. It stressed the need for a political solution among all sides of society in order to achieve peace and security in Afghanistan.

The Bahraini Minister for Foreign Affairs noted that Bahrain's signing of the Peace Agreement with Israel was part of the King's vision to promote the principle of peaceful coexistence and consolidate a culture of peace. In conclusion, the Bahraini Minister for Foreign Affairs called on the international community to achieve security and stability in the Middle East through a commitment to non-interference and good-neighbourliness.
