The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Algeria and the national community abroad, Ramtan Lamamra, stated in a statement on the sidelines of the meeting of Arab Ministers for
Foreign Affairs that the decision to break relations with Morocco was sovereign and strict for Algeria.
Lamamra stressed that the decision to break off relations was sovereign and an irrevocable final, stating that breaking off relations with Morocco would not be included in the meeting of Arab Ministers for Foreign Affairs.
Earlier, Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtan Amamra had revealed the reason for the decision to break off relations with the Kingdom of Morocco, saying that Algeria had been forced to break off diplomatic relations with Morocco after its impatience.
In press statements, Lamamra added that "Algeria was forced to break off relations with Morocco after being impatient and having waited so long for reason to return and to invoke well-known international norms and norms."
He continued, "Algeria has broken its diplomatic relations with large and influential international forces in defence of principles and a willingness to sacrifice interests. It is recorded to her that she has always and never set the finest examples in solidarity and in the defence of sacred and just causes. "
He told Amamra that Algeria would "defend its positions because they are just and objective, and positions that are recognized as fair and balanced. Every one wishes to consider these issues with the view of the official who is willing to exercise the right and prove what the conduct of neighbouring States should be among themselves, "as he put it, stressing that Algeria's position was timely, after analysis, reflection and responsibility rather than on the basis of emotions or other positions.
On the other hand, the alien State regretted Algeria's unilateral decision to break diplomatic relations with Rabat, saying that it was "totally unjustified."
