Rejecting blackmail and breaking the law in any way, the Tunisian President has confirmed his "determination" to move forward and not to compromise human rights and respect for freedoms in the country.

The President of the Republic of Tunisia, Qays Saeed, received the Palace of Carthage, Ibrahim Bouderballa, dean of the National Bar Authority, Bashir al-Obeidi, writer-general of the Tunisian Association for the Defence of Human Rights, and Bassam al-Tarifi, vice-president of the Association.

The President of Tunisia, while stressing that there was no way to turn back, reiterated that he was firm in his strong commitment to continue in the same approach and not to prejudice human rights and respect for freedoms, including freedom of expression and demonstration, and to refuse to bargain, blackmail, injustice and any violation of the law from whatever location.

President Qays Said also said that there was no dignity for States other than the dignity of their citizens and citizens. He recalled that corrupt people and those who tried to mess with the State and trade in the situation of young people and their aspirations for employment, freedom and dignity would be addressed by law.
