Stressing that "nuclear talks" with it "will not last forever," US Secretary of State Anthony Plinkin said the US is determined that Iran will not acquire nuclear weapons.

The US Secretary of State added: "Iran is advancing its nuclear program and talks with it will not last forever." He also stressed that the United States was "determined to meet the challenges posed by Iran in the region."

He continued: "We will remain present in the region, and we are committed to defending our partners."

Regarding the protests in Iran, which security forces have forcibly suppressed, Anthony Plinkin said: "We call on the Iranian government not to use violence to silence the voices of the Iranian people."

Asked about the situation in Afghanistan, Plinkin said: "We commit ourselves to defending Afghanistan, and we are trying to bring the Afghan parties, including the Taliban, together for dialogue on the future of the country."

The United States Secretary of State also addressed the Iraqi file, explaining: "We will support Iraqi forces in their fight against ISIS."

On American-Chinese relations, Plinkin said: "China has a different vision of human rights and intellectual property."
