U.S. State Department spokesman Ned Price said U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Plinkin met with a group of Igor Muslims who, according to Washington, survived the concentration camps and relatives of individuals detained in Xinjiang.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wen-bin said today that the United States is unable to contain China's development, spreading chaos in Xinjiang on the pretext of protecting human rights.

Wang Wen Bin responded that "the lies and rumors of the United States revealed the fact that Xinjiang is stable and prosperous and that the people there are living a happy and satisfying life."

He continued: The United States' attempt to use human rights as a cover to corrupt Xinjiang and contain China's development will never succeed.

The speaker stressed that China's goal was to combat violent terrorism, extremism and secession in Xinjiang, so the issue was not one of race, religion or human rights, adding that "crimes of abuse, atrocities or genocide cannot be attributed to China."

In late March, Canada, the European Union, the United Kingdom and the United States imposed sanctions on individuals and organizations from China, accusing them of violating Igor rights in Xinjiang.

In addition, the United States expanded sanctions against 24 Chinese and Hong Kong officials for their actions to limit Hong Kong's autonomy. The Chinese government has rejected international allegations of alleged human rights violations in Xinjiang province.
