In conjunction with the centenary celebrations of China's ruling party, the Chinese Army Air Force reportedly deployed a new unit of heavy "J- 20" stealth fighters under Sector North to guard the Taiwan Strait.
"Meltari Watch" magazine published a report on the new Chinese movement of Phantom Fighter Deployment, in which it noted that these fighters have a wide range to cover the entire Taiwan Strait.
The magazine quoted Chinese military naval expert Li Ji, who asserted that "the new deployment of the J- 20, announced before the centenary of the Communist Party in I, is aimed at telling South Korea and Japan that China is strengthening its air defense along the coast."
The military expert continued that sending the fighter "warns them not to join Washington and to intervene in the Taiwan issue."
The expert explained that the rationale for deploying these fighters was: "No J- 20 fighters will be deployed near the coasts, given their combat range of more than 2000 km, which is more than sufficient to cover coastal provinces on the mainland, and Taiwan."
The J- 20 is the only fifth-generation fighter developed outside the United States on active duty within the Chinese Army and is known for its superhuman phantom capabilities, advanced radar-guided aerial missiles, long range, very modern aviation electronics and sensors.
