Against the backdrop of the summit between President Vladimir Putin of Russia and American Joe Biden, Swiss media sources revealed several security measures to be followed during the summit of Presidents Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden.

According to Swiss newspaper NZZ am Sonntag, the airspace over Geneva will be closed during the Russian - American summit on 16 June, and "details" of the closure of airspace are being worked out.

According to sources, the Swiss Federal Bureau of Civil Aviation (BAZL) is currently working on the "details" of airspace closure procedures in cooperation with the country's air force and a number of other departments concerned.

The Swiss Federal Office for Civil Aviation (OFAC) stressed that these actions are a "good process of processing (for the top)." The Bureau conducted a similar procedure during the World Economic Forum.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, said: "I look forward to a positive outcome, and I hope that conditions will be created for further steps to normalize Russian-American relations and resolve the issues facing our two countries, not only our two countries, but the entire international community."

President Putin also made it clear that "I expect no breakthrough in Russian-American relations, nothing that could surprise us all with its results, but the fact that we will meet and talk about the possibility of restoring bilateral relations, we will talk about issues that are for us the common good and that in itself is not bad."
