Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said today, upon receiving Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, that "finding a foothold for the Zionist entity" in the Gulf area is dangerous.

This follows the sabotage of a nuclear facility in Iran, where Iranian officials said that the "Zionist entity" would receive a response if it was proven to have been involved in the sabotage of the Natnins nuclear facility and would know what foolishness had been committed.

She vowed to avenge an attack that appeared to be the most recent chapter of a long-running war.

"The United States and the rest of the world today have come to the conclusion that maximum pressure [on Tehran] has failed, and that the only way for the United States to return to the nuclear agreement is to lift sanctions," Iranian President Sergei Lavrov said today when receiving Russian Foreign Minister.

"There is a need to confront American unilateralism through the development of regional cooperation between Tehran and Moscow."

Israel, which is not recognized by the Islamic Republic, has not formally commented on the incident.
