A source familiar with Amtiqa Libyan Airport, Sunday, said a military transport plane left Tripoli on its way to Turkey with 120 Syrian mercenaries on board.

The source confirmed that the airport is already delivering a schedule of Turkish and Libyan aircraft, which will carry more than 1,000 mercenaries within one week.

According to the source, 120 elements attended the airport Sunday morning in military vehicles, being placed in one of the side halls away from the passenger lounges and then taken to the plane.

He confirmed that the plane was now on its way to an airport in a Turkish border town with Syria for transport to the city of Afrin, which is controlled by pro-Ankara militias.

From Jabneh, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) confirmed that a batch of Sultan Murad mercenaries and other gunmen have returned to Syrian territory in the past hours from Libya.

According to the Observatory, this follows international and regional pressure on Turkey.

It should be noted that Turkey sent marching aircraft, trainers and military advisers to Libya under a military agreement signed with the Government of Concord and, according to United Nations experts, Syrian mercenaries.
