Iraqi President Burhem has ruled out the favour of signing a peace agreement between his country and Israel.
"Iraq is committed to defending the full rights of the Palestinian people, and there will be no peace in the Middle East without the realization of the national rights of the Palestinian people," the Iraqi President said.
When asked about recent movements between Jordan, Egypt and Iraq, the President of Iraq stressed that he was bringing together the three countries with economic relations and shared visions.
Work was still under way on a series of investment projects between Egypt, Iraq and Jordan that would link and integrate the economies of the three countries.
Egypt and Jordan signed peace treaties with Israel years ago. Last September, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates also signed peace treaties with Israel, which were later followed by Sudan.
The President of Iraq revealed that King Abdullah II of Jordan and President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi of Egypt would be visiting Iraq "shortly" to pursue consultations on the forthcoming projects between the three countries.
With regard to the Gulf States, Saleh said that Iraq's relationship with the Gulf States was "growing and evolving," stressing that Iraq's geographical location called for the preservation of that relationship.
Turning to his recent visit to the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, the President of Iraq stressed that he had discussed with Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed how to improve the reality of the region through investment and economic integration.
Saleh stressed that "without a balance in its relations and a careful reading of its geographical and political situation, Iraq will not be successful."
"Iraq's relations with Iran and Turkey are very important, but being based on its Arab depth is a factor of stability not only for Iraq, but for the whole region."
