Dr. Sergey Voznesenky, assistant professor in the Department of Infectious Diseases at the Faculty of Medicine of the Russian University of Friendship, announced that it is too early to talk about a new outbreak of a disease in the Indian city of Eluru.

"First, according to my information, there is no information about diagnosing the condition of infected persons. Therefore, it is too early to say that this is a new infectious disease," the specialist said, in an interview with the Russian Novosti news agency.

According to him, in addition to this, India is "home to a very large number of infectious diseases, including cholera."

"So if we talk about cholera, all the regulatory measures and procedures are clearly listed in the international documents. But if this is a new disease, I can only say that this is a very small possibility," he added.

According to India TV, one person died and more than 350 people were hospitalized as a result of an outbreak of an unknown disease in the Indian city of Eluru.
