After he personally contracted the mutant, an Indian doctor was able to describe the symptoms of the new mutant of the corona virus, omicron.
The 46-year-old doctor was quoted as reassuring about the gravity of the mutant, after becoming one of four persons discovered by health authorities in India to have been infected by the new mutant.
The Indian doctor explained, after 3 days of proof of positive scan, that the symptoms he felt included body pain, chills and dizziness, along with a high body temperature of 38.5.
The doctor denied that he had breathing difficulties, or low levels of oxygen in the blood, where oxygen levels remained normal at about 95, and the Indian doctor calmed the dismay of the spread of the omicron mutant, stating that it was not life-threatening.
The doctor indicated that he did not yet know the source of the infection he had received, as he had not travelled to any of the States that reported the new mutant.
Dr. Omicron is reportedly still in isolation at a hospital in the southern city of Bangalore as a precautionary measure, after being diagnosed on November 22.
