As the number of deaths per day from complications of the new corona virus increased, the number of red-classified dangerous cities in Iran rose to 336.
The Iranian Ministry of Health has announced that, in addition to 336 cities in the red state of Corona, a further 84 cities are in the orange state, while 28 cities are in the yellow state.
As a result of the widespread outbreak of HIV in various Iranian cities and regions, particularly the highly contagious delta mutant, some 50 cities have been added to the Red List in just a few days.
In the meantime, hospitals and health centres are experiencing unprecedented overcrowding, amid the filling of beds, the shortage of intensive care units, oxygen and the fatigue of medical personnel, which, according to the Government's own health sources, are no longer sufficient to cover and deal with the large number of cases.
Cemeteries in major cities such as the capital city of Tehran, Isfahan and Mashhad are under constant pressure from the rising death toll among people living with the deadly virus, so much so that cemetery workers are working long overtime to bury the dead, according to the Isfahan and Mashhad cemeteries, as has been reported by Iran International.
It reveals the collapse of Iran's entire health system and its inability to deal with the Corona pandemic, "says an Iranian doctor, who preferred to withhold his name:"The system that boasts of its delusional achievements is unable to rein in the deadly virus that is relentlessly taking the lives of Iranians, as a result of the health sector's backwardness, the failure and failure of government policies, and the dearth of vaccines within the country relative to its population.
The doctor continues: "Millions of infections and deaths from the epidemic, in the country that was almost the second country around the world to have spread the COVID virus - 19 after China, but look at how China addressed the disaster and managed to contain it and secure vaccines for more than 1 billion Chinese, while we are from bad to worse, and the classified cities are dangerous, reaching about 350 cities."
It should be noted that Iran is among the countries in the region and the world most affected by the epidemic, with more than 4 million people infected with the deadly virus, over 93,000 deaths and over 93,000 deaths.
