Noting the possibility of a fifth wave of the epidemic, the outgoing President of Iran, Hassan Rouhani, said that his country was experiencing a deterioration in the epidemiological situation with regard to the Corona epidemic.

At a meeting of the Committee on HIV/AIDS, Rouhani said, "We stress the need to adhere strictly to health instructions to counter the spread of the Corona virus, even though there is a possibility of vaccinating 500 thousand citizens every day."

"The eastern and south-eastern regions of the country have seen the spread of the Indian mutation of the new Corona virus, and stakeholders have tried to surround the virus in these areas, but it has infiltrated other provinces of the country, resulting in the epidemiological situation deteriorating compared to the last weeks," he said.

However, "the competent authorities are studying the arrangements for opening schools in the next academic year."

It should be noted that some 10 days ago, the Iranian authorities announced the approval of the "emergency" use permit for a local anti-Cofid-19 vaccine project called "Koo Iran Berket."
