Amid a steady decline in infections, the Italian Ministry of Health has today recorded less than 100 new deaths from the Corona virus causing "Covid-19" infection for the first time since October 23, 2020.
In a new statistic, the Ministry reported that the number of recorded infections of the Corona virus in Italy over the past 24 hours had risen by 5753, bringing the overall number to 4159122, of which 328882 were active.
The index of daily infections of the Corona virus in Italy is declining to 7852 on 12 May, 8085 on 13 May, 7567 on 14 May and 6659 on 15 May.
The Ministry of Health added that it had monitored 93 deaths from the disease during the last day, bringing the total number of victims of the pandemic in the country to 124,063.
This statistic also indicates a steady decline in the level of daily deaths of the corona virus, with the indicator reaching 262 on 12 May, 201 on 13 May, 182 on 14 May and 136 on 15 May.
The Ministry of Health also reported that the recovery rate increased to 37,06084 after the monitoring of 9603 new cases of recovery.
Italy is the eighth country in the world in terms of the incidence of the corona virus and the sixth in terms of the number of deaths from the pandemic.
