The Algerian Ministry of Health confirmed that the former French anti - colonial fighter, Jamila Bouhird, was infected with the new corona virus.
In a statement, the Ministry explained that the fighter "is currently present at Mustafa Pasha Hospital after she was confirmed to be infected with the KOFID-19 virus," denying "what was posted on social media regarding the conversion of the KOFID-19 vaccine dose that was intended to be administered."
The Ministry added that "Jamila Bohird's stress was taken care of as soon as the symptoms of the virus began to develop, as a medical squad moved to her home for inspection, and after recording an increase in her temperature, she was tested, the results of which were positive, to be taken to the hospital."
The Minister of Health, Abdul Rahman Ben Bouzid, and the Minister of Labour, Hashemi Jaboob, reportedly visited the fighter to check on her health.
