The Jordanian Ministry of Health has announced its readiness for a third wave of new corona virus, Covid 19.

The official of the Corona file in the Ministry of Health, Adel El Balbisi, reported that his country was prepared for a third wave by increasing the number of beds and health personnel, so that it could go through the lowest losses.

He stressed that vaccination and safety measures must be accelerated, with a view to contributing to third-wave protection. He explained his country's expectation for several reasons, most notably the presence of mutants, and that Saudi Arabia was working to increase the number of laboratory tests starting next week.

The Balbisi said: Looking at the epidemiological curve over the past month, we see a significant decrease in the number of casualties, from 56.6 1,000 in the week ending 19 March, to 22.6 1,000 in the week ending 16 April, a significant reduction of about 34 thousand.

The mortality rate fell from 540 to 216 by about 140%. The number of deaths decreased, with the Balbesi noting that "the proportion of positive tests decreased from 18.9% to 12.6%" during that period.

He said that the epidemiological situation in Jordan was "reassuring," but called for "adherence to the State's preventive measures against muzzle dressing, social exclusion and vaccination because it was the only solution to the pandemic."

The Ministry of Health teams conducted 11,385 laboratory examinations, today Saturday, while the percentage of positive tests was 14.02%.

Balbisi attributed the decline in the number of daily examinations to the "low demand of citizens for forensic testing."
