Many people may experience severe headaches after eating, which can last for hours.
According to the "Medicine Web" site, there are many reasons for having a headache after eating, the most prominent of which is low blood sugar.
The source explained that low blood sugar often causes migraines, adding that "low blood sugar levels occur for two reasons; bad eating habits or pathological reasons."
With regard to bad eating habits, this is due to eating foods rich in sugars in addition to eating large numbers of meals per day, as well as eating foods at irregular or late times.
As for pathological causes, the low level of sugar occurs as a result of diabetes, tumors in the digestive system, or an irregularity in the level of hormones in the body.
The headache may occur after eating for other reasons, such as, eating cold foods and drinks, or allergies to certain types of food.
To treat this matter, doctors advise to change the bad eating patterns mentioned above, and to visit a doctor if the matter is related to pathological causes.
