The head of the department spoke at a Jerusalem hospital, and the immunologist, who is of Russian origin, Dr. Polina Stepitskaya, about the risk that the recipient of the vaccine against the Coronavirus will contract "Covid-19", if he does not receive the second dose.

In an interview she gave to the Russian "Novosti" agency, she said that each vaccine currently contains two doses. In the event that a second dose of the vaccine against the coronavirus is not received, immunity will form, but it does not gain the required strength, and it may not be formed in some cases, depending on the nature of the recipient's body.

The doctor indicated that doctors in many countries will inform the population electronically of the need to receive a second dose of the vaccine, and added that there are many electronic means to inform the population and remind them of the need to vaccinate with the second dose.

She added, "A person cannot be forced to vaccinate, but I think he can be reminded of the need to be vaccinated with two doses, as the mother reminds her children who do not want to receive the vaccine."

The doctor stressed the importance of receiving the second dose of the vaccine against the coronavirus. While she said that the need to receive a second dose of the vaccine will disappear with the passage of time, and the need to receive a second dose of the flu vaccine has also disappeared earlier.

It is noteworthy that Moscow witnessed this week the opening of 70 centers to vaccinate the population against "Covid-19", according to a decree issued by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
