The deputy head of the National Energy Security Fund in Russia, Alexei Grivac, believes that the completion of the implementation of the construction of the "North Torrent-2" gas pipeline will take several months.
The expert said, "The construction itself will take several months, and several months will be required for testing and operation, but a lot depends on a number of external factors, including weather and the need to overcome sanctions restrictions."
And "Northern Torrent-2" is a project to extend two gas pipelines with a total capacity of 55 billion cubic meters annually from the Russian coast, across the bottom of the Baltic Sea, to Germany. Most of the project has been implemented, but it is now facing obstacles due to US pressure, as Washington imposes sanctions on companies. Participate in it, including European companies.
This comes at a time when the United States plans to increase its sales of liquefied natural gas to Europe.
The project has obtained all necessary operating permits from the countries whose territorial waters the pipeline passes through.
