The leaders of 11 Latin American countries announced a plan for cooperation among themselves to combat inflation, following a virtual meeting called by Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, who called a summit on May 6 and 7 in the Mexican resort of Cancun to expand the discussion of the plan.

Latin American countries recently faced critical issues in their economy after the rose of the U.S. interest, and the impact of the Russian and Ukranian war added to the pandemic of the virus Cornona, all these reasons raised the prices and inflation reached its peak.
The unit of Latin America could reduce inflation if they tried new methods to save their economy as the leaders of 11 Latin American countries announced a plan for cooperation among themselves to combat inflation, following a virtual meeting called by Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, who called a summit on May 6 and 7 in the Mexican resort of Cancun to expand the discussion of the plan.
''The goal of the plan is to secure "food and basic products at better prices" for the general public through measures such as the removal of customs duties and other trade barriers," Lopez Obrador said.
He added that the priority is to reduce" the cost of these products for the poorest and most vulnerable groups, " according to a statement issued after the meeting of the leaders of Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Honduras, Venezuela and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
