This reminder indicates that the word and deed are at odds with the Polish government. On the other hand, the Poles consider themselves the driving force behind the imposition of sanctions on Russia and announce a systematic reduction in Russian oil imports since 2016. On the other hand, a tenth of the demand for oil is still covered by supplies from Russia.

With a complete refusal to supply Russian natural gas and coal and a decrease in oil supplies, Poland is its largest buyer in Europe.

According to the head of the Orlin Oil Company, Daniel opytek, Poland is strictly forbidden to stop the import of Russian oil under the sanctions stipulated in the contract, which will affect the well-being of the company and the poles. Opytek specified that careful evasion would have been possible if the EU had extended the oil embargo to pipelines as well, but this was not done.
