During the meeting held by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi with a number of ministers and officials

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi directed the two companies whose work is related to this framework to maintain the continuity of the strategic stock of the state of the main food commodities, as well as to maximize the added value of storing goods from the series of strategic silos that have been established throughout the Republic, in order to increase the absorption and storage volume, and thus contribute to maintaining the stability of the food security situation of the state.

The official spokesman of the presidency of the Republic, Ambassador Bassam Radi, said that the meeting dealt with "the follow-up of the food security system and the position of the strategic stock of basic food commodities at the level of the Republic".

In this context, President Al-Sisi reviewed the strategic stock and stocks of all basic food commodities of the state, in the framework of the state's advance planning to maintain the strategic stock of them, taking into account the current global food crisis.

President Al-Sisi also followed up on the developments of the current wheat growing season at the Republican level, directing that the price of wheat supply be set so that it achieves a profitable economic return for farmers and peasants, and supports increasing the quantities of wheat supply.

President Al-Sisi directed strict adherence to the provisions of Egyptian agricultural export control to produce an export crop of outstanding quality, with exclusive reliance on entities belonging to the "coding" system by Agricultural Quarantine, and to address any violation in this framework, in addition to applying the standards of importing countries for all Egyptian agricultural crops.

The official spokesman added that the meeting also witnessed the presentation of the position on the efforts of livestock development, through the national program for the distribution of thousands of high-productivity livestock to farmers and small breeders, in order to improve their conditions and support them economically, and in coordination between the relevant ministries, the National Service Projects Agency, the banking sector and civil society organizations.
