Ambassador Antonio de Aguiar Patriota of Brazil in Cairo lectured on bilateral relations between Egypt and Brazil at the Egyptian Council of Foreign Affairs.
Among those attending were Ambassador Munir Zahran, President of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs, Executive Director Ambassador Ezzat Saad and other members of the Council.
During his address, the Ambassador of Brazil provided an overview of the positive phase of bilateral relations, in the light of the recent visit of the Vice-President of the Republic to Cairo, and addressed issues of strategic importance to both countries at the regional and multilateral levels.
During the meeting, the opportunities provided by the Mercosur-Egypt Free Trade Agreement and the opening of an office of the Brazilian Arab Chamber of Commerce (CCAB) in Cairo were discussed, as was the intensification of multilateral dialogue, in the light of Brazil's return to the Security Council in 2022.
