Banks across Wall Street raised the salaries of lower - level employees this year to compensate for their workloads and hard hours, particularly in investment banking services where workers handled record levels of transactions.
First-year analysts in these three sections will now receive $100,000 in base salary, second-year analysts will receive $105,000, and third-year analysts in world markets and global research departments will receive $110,000.
This is in addition to the fact that Bank of America has decided in the past group that it will raise analysts' salaries in its banking departments.
