In a statement issued by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, against the backdrop of alleged human rights violations, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce criticized the inclusion of 23 Chinese companies with its Black Economic List.

The Chinese Ministry said that the inclusion of Chinese entities was a "serious violation of the rules of the economy and international trade."

The Chinese Ministry also described this action as "irresponsible repression" of Chinese companies.

The statement added that China would take the necessary action the legitimate rights and interests of China.

Last Friday, the United States announced sanctions against companies and other entities related to Chinese military practices and policy towards the Muslim minority of Igor, facilitating exports to Russia and Iran.

The United States Department of Commerce said in a statement that these entities were punished "for their involvement in activities contrary to the foreign policy and national security interests of the United States."

China is facing mounting international criticism for its "repressive treatment" of the Igor population in the Chinese province of Xingyang, as Western flags promote reports of forced labour camps in which members of that minority are detained and mass dehumanizing by the Chinese authorities.
