Boeing Aircraft Manufacturing announced the suspension of delivery of 737 MAX aircraft to buyers, following a problem with the power effort protection systems of these aircraft.
On April 16, it is reported that Boeing stopped delivering 737 MAX single-lane aircraft after a problem with connections designed to maintain safety in the event of an increase in voltage within the backup power control system.
The new problem comes months after the aircraft returned to service following a 20-month ban after two fatal incidents.
Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun said in an email to employees that the company was "finalizing plans and documents with the Federal Aviation Administration to determine the process necessary for operators (airlines) to be able to restore their aircraft to service."
Boeing has delivered more than 85 737 MAX aircraft since most of the world's regulators lifted their ban after the two incidents.
