The "Google News Initiative" has established an open global fund to combat misinformation about "Covid-19" vaccines, amounting to three million dollars.

The initiative said in a blog post that the "Open Fund to Combat Misinformation on COVID-19 Vaccines" supports journalistic efforts to effectively verify misinformation about the COVID-19 vaccination process.

She added, "While information about COVID-19 is global in nature, disinformation has also been used to target specific communities."

The Fund will accept projects that seek to broaden the auditing base, especially for groups that are disproportionately exposed to misinformation.

In December, the Google News Initiative pledged $ 1.5 million to fund a media center for COVID-19 vaccines to support auditing research.
