Equatorial Guinea today confirmed its first-ever outbreak of Marburg virus disease. Preliminary tests carried out following the deaths of at least nine people in the country’s western Kie Ntem Province turned out positive for viral haemorrhagic fever.
The Ministry of Health in Jordan announced that it is monitoring the spread of some cases of hemorrhagic fever of the "Marburg" virus in the countries of Equatorial Guinea and Tanzania.
