The Russian foreign ministry commented on the refusal of the American side to grant the visa to the Russian diplomat who was supposed to attend a session of the UN open-ended working group on cybersecurity.

From his side, UN Secretary General’s Spokesman Stephane Dujarric commented in brief saying that the Secretary of the United Nations General Antonio Guterres focused on ensuring that all delegations to the United Nations headquarters in New York are granted US visas, told a briefing on Monday.

"The Secretary-General, his legal counsel has been very, very much focused on ensuring that the obligations (of the host country - TASS) are met and that all delegations that have business in front of the United Nations here in New York are granted the visas as they should be," he said when asked by TASS to comment the situation with Russian diplomats.

The Russian representative Irina Tyazhlova complained Monday, earlier that the US side had denied entry visas to several Russian delegates to the session of UN's open-ended working group on cybersecurity.
