 For the fifth day in a row, violence continues in Sudan, as images circulated by the media showed more damage caused by the fighting between the warring parties.

 Although the 24-hour truce reached between the Sudanese army led by General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and the paramilitary militia group known as the Rapid Support forces led by Hemeti came into force at 6 p.m. local time on the fourth day of heavy fighting, residents said they still heard the sounds of gunfire and explosions in various parts of Khartoum, especially around the army headquarters and the Republican Palace, the seat of power, indicating that fighting is still underway.

 The corruption trial of former South African President Jacob Zuma was postponed again as he seeks to have the lead prosecutor removed from the case by claiming he is biased.

On Friday, the Tunisian authorities approved a set of restrictions on the use of drinking water, including the adoption of a quota system to distribute it to the population for several months, following a drought in the country.

 Ghana's President Nana Akufo-Addo said during a joint press conference with US Vice President Kamala Harris, who is touring a number of African countries, that his government intervened to amend the " core elements "of a strict anti-LGBT bill being considered by its parliament"
