Migrants fearing deportation set mattresses ablaze at an immigration detention center in northern Mexico, starting a fire that killed at least 40 people, the president said Tuesday, in one of the deadliest events ever at a Mexican immigration lockup.

 British interior minister Suella Braverman has arrived in Rwanda on a visit aimed at strengthening the UK government's commitment to a plan aimed at preventing tens of thousands of migrants a year from reaching the country and also deporting some asylum seekers to the UK.
