Intelligence cooperation between the United States, Colombia and Panama to stop illegal immigration

 In a move aimed at halting illegal immigration from Panama and Colombia to the United States through the dense Darien Gap forest, a major route for migrants heading to the United States from South America, a senior Biden administration official said U.S. troops will help their Colombian and Panamanian counterparts gather intelligence to dismantle smuggling gangs engaged in illegal immigration.
