At least 22 people, including three monks, have been killed at a monastery in Myanmar's southern Shan state, with local rebel groups and the military-backed junta accusing each other of carrying out the massacre.
The political party led by deposed Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi is expected to face automatic dissolution by the military-appointed Election Commission at midnight on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, because it refused to register for the planned general elections that it denounced as a sham.
