Clashes erupt in Senegal, 15 dead

 

The situation in Senegal remains tense after clashes that resulted in six new deaths, bringing to 15 the toll of clashes since Thursday when the opposition Ousmane Sonko was sentenced to two years in prison.

Sonko provokes unrest in the capital of Senegal

 Senegal  Authorities forcibly removed Sonko from his vehicle and escorted him to a court appearance, blocking his supporters from following and sparking unrest in several parts of the capital.
