Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy touched down in Rome for meetings with Pope Francis and Italian officials on Saturday, in his first visit to the country since the beginning of the Russian invasion.

France wants a "calm dialogue" after Italy demanded an apology for Meloni's "insult".

French Prime Minister Elisabeth Bourne called on Friday for a "calm dialogue" with Rome on the immigration file, hours after Italy demanded an apology for the "insult" of its Prime Minister Georgia Meloni by French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin.
