Today, the Seoul Municipal Council announced on Wednesday that it will form a joint public-private team to investigate allegations of sexual harassment of its former mayor, Park Won-soon, by his former secretary.

"The council will form a joint team from the public and private sectors, which includes experts from outside the government, including officials from women's organizations and human rights and law experts, to investigate the circumstances of the sexual harassment attributed to the late mayor," Council spokesman Huang En Shik said in a statement. To ensure fairness and objectivity. "

He stated that the council will hold detailed consultations with women's and other organizations on the formation of the team, how to manage it, the timetable, and others.

A spokesman for the council stated that he believed that the team, which includes experts from outside the government with sufficient experience and knowledge, might overcome some challenges resulting from the lack of investigative powers in this case.

He added that the council will set its priorities in preventing collateral damage to the former secretary of the late mayor, pledging to provide full and effective support to her until she returns to normal life.

It should be noted that the former mayor of the capital, Seoul, recently found suicide in a suburb of the city.
