Documenting everyday life
The Israeli war on the Gaza Strip has not ended, but the shelling continues and the number of dead and injured increases despite the passage of more than 400 days.
However, this did not prevent the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip from documenting their daily lives and immortalizing their living conditions in paintings and drawings, they held an art exhibition attended by children and young people, despite the unstable situation.
Palestinian artists have opened an art exhibition in Deir al-Balah, displaying paintings expressing their point of view on the difficulties they face as part of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, which has been ongoing since October 2023.
The Palestinian news agency Wafa published a video in which it said that the art exhibition was entitled “drawing life: visions from Gaza,” and was opened on the anniversary of international human rights Day, December 10, in the city of Deir al-Balah, which is located in the middle of the Strip.
The paintings documented the pain of Palestinians in Gaza by drawing their relatives and loved ones who were killed, depicting the huge destruction outlined in Gray, the devastating shelling and planes dropping rockets, and the targeting of hospitals and medical institutions.
And fear appeared on the faces of children, young people, Ladies and many symbolic figures in those drawings and Paintings. The Kufic, the Palestinian flag, and the bag of flour that the displaced are seeking also stood out.
Reported on the opening of the exhibition, saying that Palestinian artists depicted the suffering in Gaza, while at the same time conveying a message of hope for the future.
This comes as the Israeli army expands its attacks on the Gaza Strip, and Palestinians in the North, specifically in Beit Lahiya, Beit Hanoun and Jabalia, are suffering from a suffocating blockade that has been preventing humanitarian aid from reaching for 66 days, which threatens the health of 75 thousand people, according to the UN.
