US-China conflict escalated their trade war statements

The US-China conflict has escalated significantly in recent weeks, particularly in the realm of trade. And the war witnessed more critics between the 2 countries through both of official declaration
US officials said today a deal with China may take months over the trade cooperation.

While the Chinese officials obtained that their talks with US officials are in general matters and still a lot of serious talks about the unclear situation.

The trade war started when the US had imposed a 145% tariff on Chinese goods, China from its side has also retaliated with a 125% tariff on American goods. This move has resulted in a 0.2% loss of global merchandise trade.

In the way of the Trade war between the 2 countries, China has restricted exports of rare earth elements, which are crucial for various high-tech industries, As China produces 90% of the world’s rare-earth elements, and this move has significantly impact the US tech sector.

From other side the US has expressed concerns over China’s alleged role in the fentanyl crisis and has imposed tariffs citing this issue. China has denied these allegations and retaliated with tariffs on US goods.

In its response China also has filed a complaint with the World Trade Organization (WTO) over US tariffs, adding to the diplomatic tensions between the two nations.

US-China Diplomatic Tensions ;

Despite the tensions, both countries have maintained Talks and Negotiations by official communication channels.
The US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan and CCP Foreign Affairs Commission Office Director Wang Yi have held talks to stabilize strained relations.
China has filed a complaint with the World Trade Organization (WTO) over US tariffs, adding to the diplomatic tensions between the two nations.

President Xi Jinping has rebuffed Trump’s efforts to get him on the phone, and China has said the United States must show respect and rein in disparaging remarks before talks between the two countries can commence.

Economic Impact;

The ongoing trade war between the United States and China has taken a significant turn, with both countries imposing hefty tariffs on each other’s goods. As of April 27, 2025, the situation remains tense, with no immediate resolution in sight.
