As bugs hit the UK, the possibility of being infected with flu, COVID, RSV, norovirus, HMPV is common
Citizens in the United Kingdom (Brits) are being warned to take care of their health safety. As the health ministry said to take action as a barrage of winter bugs hits the UK. The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) issued a new alert on Thursday morning.

It said illnesses including flu, COVID, RSV, norovirus, the less familiar HMPV and, of course, the common cold – have folks across the country sniffling and sneezing. With these viruses proving to be highly infectious and spreading like wildfire, the health experts at UKHSA are urging the public to adopt measures such as staying at home and masking up when venturing outside.
During winter, lots of illnesses like Norovirus and Flu spread easily
It pointed people to further information on the illnesses that are currently rife. According to the agency, it’s not unusual to see these germs year-round, but come winter they circulate at the same time, causing high levels of illness.
People in vulnerable groups are offered vaccines against flu, COVID and RSV, the UKHSA said, adding: “Staying at home when you have symptoms of flu or COVID-19 helps protect those who are vulnerable. If you need to go out when unwell, consider wearing a mask around other people.
“Simple measures like catching coughs and sneezes in a tissue, regular hand washing, and opening a window when meeting others indoors can all help reduce the spread of respiratory infections.”
