The first Egyptian aid plane arrives in Syria after the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime

An aid plane from the Egyptian Red Crescent arrived at Damascus International Airport on Saturday, according to Syrian television.

This is the first Egyptian aid plane to land at Damascus International Airport after the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime.

In turn, “Cairo News” reported that the Egyptian aid plane to Syria is carrying 15 tons of aid, including tents, blankets, food and medicines, noting that this aid will not be the last and will be followed by other shipments.

She added that the Egyptian aid will contribute to meeting some of the necessary needs of Syrians, noting that the Syrian Red Crescent will handle the distribution of Egyptian aid.

Phone call

Earlier, Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaibani said that he received a phone call from his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdel Ati, where they discussed bilateral relations.

“I was pleased with the call of His Excellency Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Ati, in which he stressed the importance of the role of the two countries in achieving stability and prosperity for the region, and that Egypt and Syria are united by one history and a promising future, God willing,” Shaibani said in a statement.
