The European Union of Football Association revealed on Wednesday details of the completion of the Champions League and Europa League, which stopped in March, due to the outbreak of the Corona virus.

The European Football Association (UEFA) announced the completion of the Champions League in August, after the end of the major leagues in Europe.

Champions League

The tournament will be completed on August 7, with the remaining four games in the 16th round, which bring together Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Barcelona, Naples, Juventus and Leon, on August 7 and 8.

Al-Ittihad did not specify whether it will hold the second leg round matches on the land scheduled for it, or whether it will be held in Portugal, like the rest of the tournament.

After eight clubs qualify for the quarter-finals, the Portuguese city of Lisbon will host a "mini-championship" to resume the tournament, with all matches played once, without the return system.

The mini-tournament, which will include the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals, will be held from August 12 to 23.

(UEFA) decided to postpone the hosting of Istanbul to the Champions League final for the next season, after it was scheduled to host it for the final this season.

Europa League

Likewise, the Europa League championship will resume, as the remaining matches of the 16th round will be played, before Germany hosts the mini-championship from the quarter-finals.

(UEFA) announced the return matches from the round of 16 on August 5 and 6, with the rest of the championship matches taking place from the quarter-finals to the final, between August 10 and 21.

The federation announced that 4 close German cities, Cologne, Duisburg, Dusseldorf and Gelsenkirchen, will host the remaining championship matches.

Next season

Regarding the qualifiers, the European Union announced that the Champions League qualifiers for the next season will be from one match, on neutral ground, which means abolishing the system of return.

The group stage for the next season will start on October 20, with the Super Cup match being held on September 24 in Budapest.
