Argentine soccer star Lionel Messi has maintained his position as the world's highest-paid player, ahead of his traditional rival, Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for Juventus.

According to the French newspaper L'Equipe, Messi earns a total income of 8.3 million euros per month.

This figure includes all incomes, compensation and bonuses, before collecting taxes imposed by the Spanish authorities.

As for Ronaldo, he earns 4.5 million euros, followed by Paris Saint-Germain, Neymar, who receives 3 million euros.

Barcelona players Antoine Griezmann and Luis Suarez receive a monthly gross income of just under three million euros per month.

Sixth, Real Madrid, Gareth Bale and Eden Hazard came in with a total income of 2.5 million euros per month.

At the level of training, Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone was ranked first, with a fee that is twice that of Zinedine Zidane in Real Madrid, or 3.6 million euros.

Pep Guardiola came second with a fee of 1.94 million euros in one month, while Mourinho came third with 1.46 million euros, and Club IV with 1.46 million euros, but the surprise in the classification is that Zidane ranked fifth with 1.4 million euros, ahead of Antonio Conte is the coach of Inter Milan, with a total wage of 1.38 million euros.
