Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said on Sunday that Cairo is ” closely following the regional situation.. It works to end crises”.
During his meeting with a number of commanders of the Armed Forces, Civil police and various security agencies at the headquarters of the Strategic Command, Sisi said that “the Egyptian state is closely following the regional and international situations based on the constants of the Egyptian policy based on the necessary balance and moderation in dealing with successive events and variables, and working to end crises and spare the region the escalating risks of slipping into new hotbeds of conflict that threaten the stability of the countries of the entire region.
Egyptian Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy stated that”the meeting discussed the developments of the current situation on the regional and international arenas and their implications for Egyptian national security, as well as reviewing the efforts exerted by the Armed Forces, Civil police and security services in protecting the borders of the Egyptian state and its internal front against various threats on all strategic directions in light of the events rippling in the region”.
The president also stressed in this regard “the need to maximize the capabilities of all state institutions and organs, stressing the importance of the role played by the armed forces and civilian police in preserving the homeland, believing in the sacred tasks assigned to them to protect Egypt and its GREAT people, no matter what sacrifices they cost”.
The official spokesman highlighted that “President Sisi stressed that the current circumstances have proven that the awareness and solidarity of the Egyptian people is the basic guarantee to overcome regional crises and surrounding threats, pointing to the continuation of comprehensive development efforts throughout Egypt in an effort to achieve a future that meets the aspirations and aspirations of the Egyptian people”.
