As storm Hana approaches, authorities have urged residents of several southern counties in the US state of Texas to vacate their homes.
The authorities expect that the tropical storm "Hana" will accompany heavy rains on Saturday and Sunday, according to Reuters.
The storm, Hana, has grown stronger and is expected to reach south of Corpus Christi, Texas, on Saturday as a Category One hurricane with strong winds of up to 121 kilometers per hour.
The US National Weather Service said the storm's rainfall is expected to reach 15 inches in some areas of southern Texas and northeastern Mexico.
The storm is also expected to affect oil and gas production in offshore fields.
The US National Hurricane Center said Wednesday night that the tropical storm "Gonzalo", may intensify and turn into a hurricane over the Atlantic Thursday.
On Thursday, Gonzalo, about 1685 km east of the South Windward Islands, was traveling with winds of up to 95 km per hour.
