Leaders of KSA and France Call for Gaza situation

Date:

Both leaders of KSA Prince Mohammed bin Salman received a phone call from French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss the ongoing crisis in the Gaza Strip and broader regional stability.

The conversation focused on the deteriorating situation in the Palestinian territories and the urgent need for a path toward lasting peace.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the two leaders stressed the following critical points:

 â€¢ Immediate Humanitarian Relief:

Both Prince Mohammed and President Macron underscored the utmost importance of immediately alleviating the humanitarian suffering of the Palestinian people in Gaza.

 â€¢ Israeli Withdrawal:

The leaders called for a complete Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.

 â€¢ Two-State Solution:

A central theme of the call was the necessity of achieving a just and lasting peace based on the two-state solution. They agreed on the importance of taking practical steps toward this long-term political resolution.

This exchange follows a period of intense diplomatic efforts co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France, which included a High-Level International Conference on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine in September.

The concerted effort by the two nations highlights a mutual commitment to advancing a regional peace framework and restoring stability to the Middle East, contrasting starkly with the deepening strategic alliance between Russia and Iran.

The discussions between Riyadh and Paris position them as central players in the international effort to secure a resolution to the Gaza conflict and its far-reaching geopolitical consequences.
