MOSCOW, February 3. /TASS/. Several individuals were involved in the assassination of Armen Sarkisyan, head of the Boxing Federation of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), a spokesman for law enforcement agencies told TASS.
“According to preliminary data, the plot to kill Sarkisyan involved multiple people. They all had their designated roles. Some were tasked with keeping tabs on him, others with carrying out the explosion,” he said.
Early on February 3, a deadly explosion shook the Alye Parusa residential complex in Moscow. According to preliminary reports, the blast targeted head of the DPR Boxing Federation Armen Sarkisyan. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition and later died. One more person was also killed and two others were wounded.
The Russian Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on charges of murdering two or more people, and illegal possession of arms.
