Though Russia and Ukraine agree to stop using force in Black Sea as Moscow sets conditions a devastating Russian drone attack has struck the Ukrainian town of Rzhyshchiv, killing seven people and injuring several others, just hours before crucial ceasefire talks were set to begin.
According to Ukrainian officials, the drone attack caused significant damage to residential buildings and infrastructure in the town, located in the Kyiv Oblast region.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has strongly condemned the attack, stating that it was a deliberate attempt to disrupt the ceasefire talks.

“This cowardly attack on innocent civilians is a clear indication of Russia’s disregard for human life and its commitment to peaceful negotiations,” President Zelensky said.
Russian officials have not commented on the attack, but have previously denied targeting civilian infrastructure.

The United Nations has called for an immediate investigation into the attack, while the European Union has condemned the attack, stating that it undermines efforts to achieve a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
Despite the attack, ceasefire talks between Ukraine and Russia are still scheduled to take place. The outcome of these talks remains uncertain, given the recent escalation of violence.
