RUSSIA RESPONDS TO UKRAINIAN DRONE ATTACK, VOWS TO INVESTIGATE

MOSCOW – The Russian Ministry of Defense has condemned the recent Ukrainian drone attack on its military bases in Siberia, labeling it a “terrorist attack.” According to Russian officials, the attacks were repelled in three of the five targeted regions.

Russia confirmed that damage was sustained at two air bases, Olenya and Belaya, but disputed the extent of the damage claimed by Ukraine. The Russian defense ministry reported that several individuals suspected of involvement in the attack have been detained.

A truck driver allegedly linked to the attack is set to be questioned by police, according to state news agency TASS. Russia has announced an investigation into the incident, vowing to hold those responsible accountable.

No casualties were reported in the regions of Murmansk and Irkutsk, where the attacks were acknowledged by Russian authorities.
