A North Korean official announced on Monday that US President Donald Trump's latest statements were disappointing and issued by an old man.
Kim Jong Chol, who is vice chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, said that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, may change his view if Trump continues his strange comments, noting that North Korea has no more to lose.
Trump considered Kim to be "very smart", and would not act in a way that would make him "lose everything," and wrote yesterday to Twitter: "Kim Jong Un is very smart and will lose a lot - everything in fact - if he acts in a hostile way. He signed I have a nuclear disarmament agreement with me in Singapore, and he does not want to end his relationship with the President of the United States, or to interfere in the November presidential elections. "
Trump had announced earlier that "North Korea's act of aggression would be surprising to me," in his first comment on Pyongyang's recent announcement that its nuclear disarmament was no longer on the table in its negotiations with Washington.
